My fear was that I might never see an iceberg
in my time. Friends in Newfoundland report how much smaller
and how far between these magnificent wonders are of late.
To paint with a group of fellow artists was my opportunity
to document what was left. The shock wasn't immediate. I had
never been to the Arctic but it didn't take long to realize
that something was wrong. As I drew and painted this magnificent
landscape I began to notice the DRY GLACIERS - rivers of sand.
