| ARTIST STATEMENT ON POLAR
REGIONS |
The fjords, glaciers and ice-capped mountains
are now nothing like in times gone by. From the words of the
Inuit they say that due to global warming their lives have
been altered immensely as their livelihood fast disappears.
The sightings of polar bears waiting at the shore-line for
the ice to form is now commonplace. In the faces of the Inuit
you can read the harshness of their life on this land that
is melting before their very eyes. I pray that man will have
the wisdom and courage to allow this land to retain its primal
beauty and not destroy what God has created. |
