ARTIST STATEMENT ON POLAR REGIONS

During the last two decades, climate scientists have underestimated how quickly the Earth is changing. With my own eyes I have witness a dramatic reduce of the sea ice around Svalbard.
POLAR EXPERIENCE
1997 first visit to Svalbard.
2003 second visit to collect references for my book Distant Islands.
The year of 2000 visiting the arctic region of Norway to study the Stellers Eider regarding a stamp commission for Finland (Aland).
